The Challenge
StyleHub had built a loyal customer base through its physical retail locations over nearly a decade. The brand was loved. The product was strong. But online, it was nearly invisible.
Their existing Shopify store was generating less than 3% of total company revenue — a fraction of what the brand deserved. The problems were clear: a visually dated storefront that hadn't been refreshed since its original launch, a checkout abandonment rate of 79%, and a mobile experience so frustrating that most mobile visitors left within 15 seconds.
PageSpeed scores were in the 20s. Product images took over 6 seconds to load on mobile. The checkout had 5 steps and required account creation. The site architecture was a tangle of deprecated Shopify themes, conflicting apps, and unoptimized code.

The Solution
Zayeonix started where all great design starts: with the customer. We conducted moderated user research sessions with 24 existing StyleHub customers, analyzing their shopping behaviors, pain points, and expectations. We paired this qualitative data with analytics review, heatmap analysis, and session recording insights.
Armed with genuine customer understanding, we designed and built a headless commerce architecture — decoupling the customer-facing frontend from the Shopify backend. This gave us complete design freedom and maximum performance without abandoning the operational infrastructure StyleHub's team relied on.
